Fatal collision sparks probe into Tesla autopilot technology

Federal auto regulators are investigating Tesla’s “Full Self-Driving” software after it was linked to several crashes, including one fatal incident.

 

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is focusing on Tesla’s ability to perform in low-visibility conditions like sun glare, fog, or dust. The probe covers 2.4 million vehicles, including popular models like the Tesla Model 3 and the upcoming Cybertruck.
