Awkward moment police in the United States pull over a fully automated vehicle
Police in San Francisco have been left scratching their heads after pulling over a car with no driver.
Officers stopped an autonomous vehicle with no-one inside, and vision of the awkward moment has gone viral on social media.
Officers approached the car, operated by “Cruise”, because it had been driving without headlights.
In the footage an officer remarks that there “ain’t nobody in it” before the car moves to what Cruise said was a safer location.
The company said the headlights issue was a result of human error.
Cruise, which is owned by General Motors has been testing autonomous vehicles for some time now across the United States.
