Elon Musk’s Space-X gearing up to send astronauts to ISS

Elon Musk’s Space-X is gearing up to send three US astronauts and a European Space Agency crew mate to the International Space Station

The estimated 17 hour journey will be the beginning of the crew’s six-month mission as they orbit 420 kilometres above Earth.

The SpaceX launch vehicle is fitted with a two-stage Falcon 9 rocket and a Crew Dragon capsule, and was set for lift off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Musk’s company began flying US astronauts in 2020, previously launching six human spaceflights.

The launch comes just two days after another Houston-based space company returned from a two-week mission, which was the first ISS all-private astronaut crew in history.

Meanwhile, in July 2021, Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic Holding launched suborbital flights with their billionaire founders, Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson tagging along for the ride.

Apple is developing an AI-powered wearable device, aiming for a launch of 20 million units in the growing AI market.

Apple is reportedly developing an AI-powered wearable device equipped with cameras and speakers, signalling its next major move into artificial intelligence-driven hardware.

While still in early development, the company is said to be planning a launch scale of up to 20 million units.

This move places Apple squarely into the fast-growing AI wearable market, where tech giants are racing to define what hands-free, AI-first devices will look like. Rather than rushing to market, Apple appears to be taking a measured approach by embedding AI capabilities into its existing ecosystem.

Reports suggest Apple is also experimenting with camera-equipped AirPods and smart glasses, with a potential launch timeline around 2027. If successful, these devices could reshape how users interact with AI in everyday life.
