Is Donald Trump back on social media?

Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts have been restored by the social media giant.

This is according to new reports from online sources.

Facebook’s independent oversight board imposed a ban on Trump’s account following a series of posts by the former president in the lead up to the January 6 attacks on the Capitol building.

Users are seemingly able to view Trump’s profile and posts on both Instagram and Facebook, however Facebook is yet to confirm the ban being lifted.

Former President Donald Trump’s blog, a webpage where he shared statements after larger social media companies banned him from their platforms has been permanently shut down, his spokesman said Wednesday.

The page “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” has been scrubbed from Trump’s website after going live less than a month earlier.

It “will not be returning,” his senior aide Jason Miller told CNBC.

“It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on,” Miller said via email.

However, Andy Stone, communications at Facebook, tweeted that the status of Trump’s Facebook access remains unchanged.

At the time of the suspension, Mark Zuckerberg said “the risks of allowing the President to continue to use our service during this period are simply too great.”

The page states that he is a “political candidate,” but last Facebook status was January 6, “I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”
