India is seeing a travel boom.

The nation’s domestic air traffic has hit a record high, with over 450,000 passengers flying daily.

The milestone was reached at the end of last month, as almost 3,000 flights took off across the country.

The country’s peak aviation body says: “The skyrocketing domestic passenger traffic post-Covid is a reflection of India’s high growth.”

A report from an International trade body shows India is the top domestic market in terms of percentage of seats filled by airlines – compared to countries such as the U.S., China, Japan, and Australia.
