Camille Vasquez caught the world’s attention when she started representing the actor, emerging as a major player in the trial.
Law firm Brown Rudnick, where Vasquez works, has announced they have accelerated their employee from associate to partner.
It comes less than a week after she helped Johnny Depp secure a $15 million dollar payday, after the jury largely ruled in the actor’s favour.
It’s no secret Vasquez was the public face of Depp’s legal team over the course of the six week trial.
While the team representing Depp consisted of nine other attorneys, none were adored by the millions watching along at home like her.
Cross examining Heard, Vasquez then used her closing arguments to tell the jurors it was actually Heard who had been the abuser in the relationship.
In a statement, Brown Rudnick says the attorney’s performance during the Johnny Depp trial proved to the world that she is ready to take this next step now.
Vasquez says she is delighted to have the firms’ “full vote of confidence.”
The title of partner generally includes an ownership stake, more money and greater influence.
