Big changes are coming to one of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers

Boeing has unveiled plans to relocate its headquarters from Chicago to Arlington, Virginia.

It’s understood the relocation is due to cost-cutting with the current 36-storey Chicago building worth $200 million.

The company moved its headquarters to Chicago back in 2001, after it left its Seattle home of 85 years following its 1997 merger with McDonnell Douglas.

Boeing has been under fire in recent times due over aircraft order delays as well as ailed safety inspections.

It’s also trying to amend its relationship with America’s Aviation Watchdog after clashing with the government regulator over its review of the 737 MAX following two fatal crashes that killed 346 people.
