Australia’s young indigenous community has come together to honour Cassius Turvey

The 15-year-old schoolboy died after he was allegedly bashed when walking home from school.

It’s sparked an outpouring of grief around the country, as Indigenous leaders fear for their own loved ones.

Turvey’s mother has thanked Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for condemning the attack.

The Prime Minister says the alleged murder was racially motivated.

The 21-year-old alleged perpetrator has been charged with murder and is facing two more charges relating to aggravated assault and stealing.
