Chinese President Xi Jinping has made a stark warning that the Asia-Pacific region may return to Cold War-era tensions
XI is urging nations to increase cooperation on pandemic recovery and climate change.
It comes amid growing tensions with the United States over Taiwan, despite a new deal between Beijing and Washington on climate.
Speaking at the APEC summit, Xi says “attempts to draw ideological lines or form small circles on geopolitical grounds are bound to fail”.
