Four people have been killed in a mass shooting in a remote part of California

Four people have been killed in a mass killing in a California desert.

Authorities responded to a call late on Sunday night in remote Mojave and found four people shot in the head.

One male victim and two female victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and an additional female victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

“When deputies arrived on the scene, they located four victims suffering from traumatic assault injuries,” a press release said.

Investigators are pursuing leads, but do not have a suspect or motive for the incident.

The shooting follows a Friday night shooting in Cleveland, Texas, that left five dead from an “execution style” shooting.
