The suspect in the Buffalo mass shooting incident previously visited the area where it all occurred back in early March

The 18-year-old is accused of killing 10 people during a violent and racist attack over 300 kilometres from his home town of Conklin.

Speaking to CNN, New York state’s police commissioner says authorities know he was in the area in March and then again on both the Friday and Saturday before the attack occurred.

It comes as authorities digest a 180-page document posted online, which is attributed to the suspected gunman, outlining his motives and plans for the incident.

The accused, Payton S. Gendron has pleaded not guilty to the charge of first-degree murder, with more charges anticipated.

He remains in custody without bail.

Meanwhile, a reverend at True Bethel Baptist Church in Buffalo addressed worshipers, including some families of the victims.
