Britain unveils its largest naval convoy in modern history – and where it will sail

The largest British naval convoy in recent years will begin a voyage through the Pacific Ocean in May.

The UK’s Defence Secretary says the Carrier Strike Group (CGC) “will be projecting influence, signalling power. and reaffirming Britain’s commitment to security challenges.”

“The UK is not stepping back, but sailing forth to play an active role in shaping the international system of the 21st century.”

In tow with the British convoy, a US missile destroyer and a frigate from the Netherlands will also provide defence support from both the sea and the air.
