Many are calling it the biggest divorce case in British legal history, with a UK court ruling on the settlement involving Dubai’s billionaire ruler and his wife
Princess Haya is the daughter of Jordan’s former King, and has been awarded a lump sum settlement of 251 million pounds, as well as money for the couple’s children, security, personnel, holidays, properties and more.
She has been engaged in a long-running court custody battle with her now-former husband, and is the youngest of six wives of the Sheikh.
The Princess fled from Dubai to Britain in 2019 with her children, saying she was fearing for her life.
This followed the discovery he had previously abducted two of his other daughters, taking them back to Dubai against their will.
The Sheikh has denied these claims, despite a High Court judgement saying they were likely to be true.
