Saget was born in Philadelphia in 1956 and is well known for his portrayal of Danny Tanner on Full House, which ran from 1987 to 1995.
The Orange County’s Sheriff Office confirmed the death via Twitter… saying he was found unresponsive in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida.
No cause of death has been determined, but the authorities have confirmed that there were no signs of foul play or drug use.
Fellow comedians and actors are flooding to social media to voice their support… with Jon Stewart remembering him as “just the nicest and funniest” person.
Kathy Griffin says “you couldn’t find a nicer or sharper wit than Bob Saget, shocked and devastated.”
Saget was also the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997.
