Big tech companies are trying calm concerns that unchecked ‘AI’ development could lead to sci-fi scenarios where ‘AI’ turns against its creators.

Now, the world’s largest ‘AI’ companies are voluntarily working with governments to address the biggest fears around the technology.

At a summit in Seoul, 16 influential AI companies, 10 countries, and the EU discussed guidelines for responsible AI development, resulting in a tentative agreement on a “kill switch” policy.

However, critics argue that without enforceable regulations, these voluntary measures may not be sufficient.
