An aviation workers strike has forced Etihad Airways to suspend flights to Rome

Etihad airways says its flight from Abu Dhabi to Rome scheduled for September 24 has been cancelled due to “industrial action” in Italy.

The gulf carrier says current industrial action set to happen in Italy over the weekend has forced the airline to make drastic changes to its schedule.

Among those to strike include airport workers and airline employees.

Etihad says all impacted travellers will be re-booked on alternative flights.
