Rwandan Government ‘not deterred’ about cancelled asylum seeker flight from U.K.

The flight was stopped after an intervention from the “European Court of Human Rights”, which led to fresh challenges in the U.K.

Up to seven people were believed to have been on the charter flight, which was believed to have cost £500,000.

Home Secretary Pretty Patel says she is “disappointed” by the decision.

The deal is part of a five-year trial where some asylum seekers get a one-way ticket to Africa. But campaign groups are voicing their concerns at the program.

Judges will consider whether the whole policy is lawful next month.
