Are robots the answer to staff shortages?

With industries suffering with staff shortages and workers experiencing burn-out in this period dubbed ‘the great resignation’… are robots the answer?

Well Tesla has an ambitious plan to deploy humanoid robots within its factories.

And it’s not alone, with other automakers, like Honda and Hyundai, looking at robotics tech too.

Tesla’s humanoid robots could be used in manufacturing and logistics to address a labor shortage.

Longer term, Musk hopes robots could be used in homes, making dinner, mowing the lawn and caring for the elderly people.

Experts say to succeed, Tesla will need to show their robots can do multiple, unscripted actions, almost like humans.
