Former kickboxer and controversial influencer Andrew Tate, along with his brother Tristan, are scheduled to appear in a Romanian court today in hopes of securing their release.
The siblings have been placed under house arrest in Bucharest since March amidst allegations of sex trafficking.
Andrew, 36, known for his controversial views on women, will face a critical moment alongside Luana Radu and Georgiana Naghel, as the court decides whether to extend their arrest.
Just a month ago, Andrew expressed his frustration when his house arrest was prolonged for another 30 days, stating, “They’ve just decided I must remain on house arrest into month 8 – this can continue indefinitely. I haven’t been outside in 7 months.”
Andrew Tate faces charges of rape, while Tristan has been charged with inciting violence. In Romania, the trafficking of adults can result in a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
However, it is anticipated that the trial will span over several years. Both Andrew and Tristan vehemently deny the accusations leveled against them.
