Experts warn against blindly trusting AI agents as they evolve, highlighting privacy risks and the need for future regulations

AI agents are moving beyond simple assistants and towards systems capable of taking actions and making decisions on behalf of users, but questions remain over how much they can be trusted.

Business Insider’s Pranav Dixit says AI agents are still in their early stages and are not yet reliable enough to make important decisions without human oversight.

Their usefulness also depends on access to sensitive personal information, creating potential privacy concerns.

As AI agents become more capable and widespread, businesses and consumers could face greater pressure to understand how these systems use personal data.

Increased adoption may also lead to calls for stronger regulation and clearer safeguards around automated decision making.
