Abu Dhabi airport reopens as authorities confirm interception of ballistic missiles

The main international airport of Abu Dhabi has reopened, after reports it was forced to close following a missile threat

Air Defense systems in the United Arab Emirates capital of Abu Dhabi were activated on Monday after detecting incoming projectiles.

There have been reports of explosions and according to those reports, authorities where forced to close the airport and divert flights.

Flights are now slowly starting to resume landing in Abu Dhabi with radar detection was showing us an Etihad Airways flight from India successfully touched down just moments ago.

Footage on social media from civilians have shown the Air defenses activated over Abu Dhabi

Local reports say there were four very loud explosions and siren sounds are also heard

Locals are describing the situation as tense.
