Millionaire crypto influencer found dismembered

Published

on

A chilling murder investigation has been launched in Argentina after the dismembered remains of a prominent millionaire and crypto influencer, Fernando Pérez Algaba, were discovered by a group of children.

The horrifying find came to light when the kids stumbled upon a red suitcase filled with body parts while playing near a stream in Ingeniero Budge, Buenos Aires Province.

The police were immediately notified by the children’s parents, and upon inspection, they found the victim’s legs and forearm inside the suitcase. A whole arm was also found in the nearby stream. A few days later, on Wednesday, authorities discovered the missing head and torso, completing the gruesome puzzle. The body parts showed signs of clean amputation, indicating the involvement of a professional.

An autopsy revealed that Fernando had been shot three times before being dismembered. The victim was identified through fingerprints and distinctive tattoos on the body parts. Fernando Pérez Algaba, known as “Lechuga” (lettuce) to friends, was a successful entrepreneur who accumulated wealth by renting luxury vehicles and trading cryptocurrency. He had a massive following of 900,000 on Instagram, where he frequently showcased his luxurious lifestyle.

His last known whereabouts were in Argentina, where he had been staying for a week before his tragic demise. The investigation led to the arrest of a suspect, but the motive behind the murder remains unclear. Authorities suspect that his considerable debts may have played a role in the crime.

Fernando’s life was not as perfect as it seemed. He had accumulated significant debts with Argentina’s tax agency and faced financial troubles with his company. He also had run-ins with a violent gang connected to Argentina’s soccer scene, who demanded a loan repayment from him. Despite these challenges, Fernando’s brother emphasized that he was not a scammer and struggled with anxiety, seeking psychiatric treatment.

The death of Fernando Pérez Algaba marks a tragic end to a remarkable journey from a bicycle-riding sandwich seller to a wealthy entrepreneur. His family now seeks justice for his untimely demise. The investigation continues, hoping to shed light on the dark circumstances surrounding the murder of the influential businessman.

A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his foreign minister crashed on Sunday as it was crossing mountain terrain in heavy fog.

The official said the lives of Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian were “at risk following the helicopter crash”, which happened on the way back from a visit to the border with Azerbaijan in Iran’s northwest.

“We are still hopeful but information coming from the crash site is very concerning,” the official told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.

State TV quoted an official as saying at least one passenger and one crew member had been in contact with rescuers. It also said the helicopter had been found, though Iran’s Red Crescent denied this report.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who holds ultimate power with a final say on foreign policy and Iran’s nuclear programme, sought to reassure Iranians, saying there would be no disruption to state affairs. #iran #trending
