Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has paid tribute to all those who have died, as the war officially enters its second year

In an emotional message, Zelensky says his nation will hold Moscow to account for “all the terror, all the killings, all the torture”.

Officials and residents are bracing for an increasing barrage of Russian missile attacks to coincide with the anniversary.

But Ukraine and the West are standing united in the face of Moscow’s ongoing aggression.

U.S. President Joe Biden will meet virtually with fellow G7 leaders and Zelensky “to continue coordinating efforts to support Ukraine and hold Russia accountable.”

The White House says the war-torn country will continue to receive the security, economic, humanitarian, and energy assistance it needs” to win.

As Western leaders continue to denounce Russia’s invasion, the United Nations is expected to approve an historic resolution condemning the war.

U.N. head António Guterres says the violence and destruction has gone on for far too long.
