President Biden will have a meeting with leaders of the Pacific to discuss climate change, pandemics, economic recovery, maritime security and environmental protection

The discussion will revolve around advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific.

This is an important meeting as the Pacific holds many different countries that are all struggling with one or more of these issues.

Climate change is a huge problem in the Pacific as rising sea levels are slowly but steadily swallowing up coastlines.

This makes it difficult for people to fish and live on the coast. Pandemics are also a big concern as diseases can spread quickly through the region.

Economic recovery is important as many people in the Pacific are living in poverty.

Maritime security is also an important issue as there are many illegal fishing boats in the Pacific.

Environmental protection is also a big issue as the Pacific is home to many endangered species.

President Biden’s meeting with leaders of the Pacific on Thursday will be a step in the right direction.
