How to get free phone data, football stadium tours and food from the government

Published

With the Covid-19 pandemic beginning to slow in Europe, there is a fresh push by leaders to increase vaccination rates throughout the continent

Incentives being considered include mobile phone data, football stadium tours and even free food for those who roll up their sleeves.

It comes as leaders grow increasingly concerned about the Delta variant and its ability to shut down the EU again over its peak tourist months.

Just last night, the parliament of France passed a new law that will require all residents and visitors to carry a “health pass” showing proof of vaccination or a negative test result

President Macron tweeted: “Together we will defeat the virus. We continue!”

From August, the pass will be required upon entry to restaurants, bars and for long-distance travel on both planes and trains.

French President Emmanel Macron says “we will extend the health pass as much as possible to push as many of you as possible to go get vaccinated”.

The pass will not be required for 12- to 17-year-olds until the end of September. Another compromise means health workers and restaurant and bar staff in France will not be sacked if they remain unvaccinated, but they can be suspended without pay.
