The war in Ukraine isn’t just claiming the lives of innocent civilians, but pets too

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is impacting animals and pets of displaced homes in the war-ravaged nation.

Three hundred and fifty-five dogs lost their lives at an animal shelter in the city of Borodyanka in Kyiv Oblast.

Lines of dead animals crowded the floors because food and water couldn’t be brought to the shelters.

Animal rights organization, UAnimals reported that only 150 dogs have survived the Russian occupation.

Meanwhile, some animals of Mariupol Zoo are surviving the grave conditions of the war.

Ukrainian zoos and national parks across Ukraine are reporting a lack of food and medication amid shelling.
