The 22-year-old man accused of killing three people during a shooting rampage in Copenhagen has been charged with murder
Two Danish citizens and a Russian were killed in Sunday’s attack, after a gunman stormed into a shopping centre.
Police say the suspect has mental health issues and believe there is no indication of a terror motive.
Authorities say he was carrying both a rifle and a knife, and his shooting was random.
Appearing in court wearing a blue T-shirt and accompanied by three heavily armed officers, the suspect’s lawyers refused to enter a plea with media present.
The rest of the hearing was held behind closed doors and a name ban has been imposed on both the suspect and the victims.
The individual will be remanded in a closed psychiatric ward for 24 days.
