UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson says his country is in a “period of adjustment” following Brexit and the ongoing Covid pandemic, but the economy will recover

This all comes as Britain struggles through increasing petrol shortages and supply chain issues, with a lack of HGV drivers causing mass disruptions at fuel stations.

But citizens are also becoming more and more concerned about the cost of living, with food and energy prices soaring.

In an interview with the BBC, Johnson reiterated his plan for a higher wage and higher-skilled economy that will offer a long-term solution to the current economic crisis.

The P-M believes that there will be a period of adjustment post-Covid and Brexit, but he says this is what the nation needs to go through.

When pressed about whether supply chains would be restored by Christmas, Johnson says he is “very confident” that the festive season will be considerably better than last year.
