Why NATO countries are considering further deployment

America and a handful of its allies are reportedly considering deploying troops to Eastern Europe before any potential Russian invasion of Ukraine

This move would be used as a show of support for Ukraine in the wake of Moscow’s increasing military presence and pressure at the border.

The countries in discussions include Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary.

It’s believed around one thousand military personnel would be deployed to each nation… similar to the current situation in the Baltic States and Poland.

The United States and Britain are among those NATO members considering the move, but not all are convinced it’s the right tactic.

The possibility of deploying further troops towards Russia marks a significant shift in opinion by the Biden administration, which has been working hard to avoid provoking the Kremlin further.

Now when it comes to military action, US Pentagon Press secretary John Kirby says America has been nothing but transparent.

Kirby says the United States and its allies are determined to maintain peace and stability in the Eastern European region and help defend Ukraine’s sovereignty.
