Why Apple’s latest product has been stripped of Aussie shelves

A major Australian retailer is taking a new Apple product off its shelves.

Apple’s AirTag product has just been released… but Officeworks is suspending the sale of them because of battery risks to children.

The tags attach to everyday items and use Apple’s Find My app to help users locate them when they go missing.

Apple said the product was designed to be safe.

However, If swallowed, the batteries could get stuck in a child’s throat and cause a chemical reaction.
