White House calls for an international investigation into origins of COVID-19
The White House has confirmed that it’s pushing for an international investigation into the origins of coronavirus.
It follows a report which says three researchers from the Wuhan Institute of Virology became so sick with an unknown virus in late 2019, that they were admitted to hospital.
This report has prompted new questions as to whether the virus came from a lab leak.
White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki says the Biden administration will wait for the data to be collected and analysed before jumping to any conclusions.
