A statement by the U-S has revealed America will deploy a guided missile destroyer and state-of-the-art fighter jets to help defend the UAE after a series of missile attacks by Yemen rebels

The US says this deployment is to “assist the UAE against the current threat”,

The last few weeks have been intense for the UAE after a series of attacks and threats in the region by the Houthi rebel group.

So far this year there have been at least three incidents involving the rebels.

A spokesperson for the Houthi group as warned they will “expand their operations over the next phase,”
