UK & EU travellers set to fly into US

Published

The United States will officially begin to ease travel restrictions for residents from the United Kingdom and EU member nations

The changes will come into effect from November, and will see foreign travellers being allowed to fly into America if they are fully vaccinated and agree to testing and contract tracing requirements.

The US has had stringent travel restrictions in effect since last year, with the White House saying the new rules are “based on individuals rather than a country-based approach”.

US travel restrictions were first imposed on those arriving from China back in 20-20, before including numerous other nations.

However, the White House has reiterated the need for foreign nationals flying into the country to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Under the requirements, travellers will need to provide some sort of proof that they have been jabbed, have a negative Covid test and provide relevant contact information.

Meanwhile, it has not yet been made clear whether or not non-US approved vaccines will be sufficient for border entry.
