Two men have been arrested in Birmingham and Manchester as part of the investigation into the Texas synagogue attack

The two men were arrested in Birmingham and Manchester.

Officers from the Counter Terrorism Policing North West say they continue to support U-S authorities with their investigation into the events in Texas.

Malik Faisal interrupted a morning service on Saturday and died after a 10-hour standoff with police.

All four hostages were freed and were unharmed.

Negotiators spent hours speaking with the assailant with the hostage-taker demanding the release of a Pakistani neuroscientist who is serving an 86-year prison term in the U-S.

The two men remain in custody for questioning.
