Tsunami threat following 7.3 earthquake near Solomon islands
Magnitude 7.3 earthquake has hit near the Solomon islands, north east of Australia
Preliminary info confirmed by seismic data reports the earthquake occurred 60 kilometres south west of the Capital of the Solomon Islands
Following the earthquake a Tsunami threat has been issued, residents are urged to move away from the coast and reach a higher place and to follow the advice from authorities.
