Debate shifts from supermarket issues to rising government roles and Trump’s failure to uphold small-government principles
Donald Trump has failed to deliver the small-government agenda some of his supporters expected, according to Wealth Within’s Dale Gillham, who argues the political pendulum is increasingly swinging towards bigger government and higher spending.
Gillham says Trump remains a “big government guy”, pointing to growing deficits and the limited impact of the DOGE cost-cutting push.
He argues governments should return to their core responsibilities, including protecting national sovereignty and citizens from corporate abuse, while maintaining a balance between government and the private sector.
Gillham also warns that politicians need greater accountability when spending public money, arguing that governments must return to stronger principles and fiscal responsibility.
