Donald Trump has filed a $475m defamation lawsuit against CNN, seeking $475 million in punitive damages

Trump has filed a $475m defamation lawsuit against CNN, seeking millions in punitive damages.

Trump’s lawyers claim that the network has carried out a “campaign of libel and slander” against the former president.

In the lawsuit, Trump claims that the network has used its influence to defeat him politically.

He alleges that CNN has labeled him with such defamatory terms as “racist,” “Russian lackey,” “insurrectionist” and “Hitler.”

While Trump may have a case against CNN, it’s worth noting that he is currently under investigation by the Justice Department for retaining government records at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

So, it remains to be seen if Trump will be successful in this latest lawsuit. However, Trump has been a frequent critic of CNN, often referring to the network as “Fake News.”
