The Ukrainian military have successfully taken down a key Russian drone as they recapture territory

The Ukrainian military pressure in key towns has forced Russian troops to retreat.

However, Russia claims this is a planned regrouping to attack elsewhere.

While Ukraine has liberated many of its key areas, it has come at an unforgettable cost to the people.

Speaking exclusively to the BBC, a local named Artem, recounts the torture and killings, where many of them were electrocuted.

“They turned it [ventilation] off so everyone could hear how people scream when they are shocked with electricity. They did this to some of the prisoners every other day… They even did this to the women”.

They made me hold two wires.

There was an electric generator. The faster it went, the higher the voltage. They said, ‘if you let it go, you are finished’. Then they started asking questions. They said I was lying, and they started spinning it even more and the voltage increased.”

American home prices are rising at faster pace now than in the last 20-years.

A recent analysis reveals a jaw dropping surge in the cost of American homes.

Since the start of 2020, U.S. home prices have surged 47% easily outstripping the gains seen in recent decades.

On top of that, home price growth so far this decade is on the verge of surpassing all the growth seen in the 2000s.

Many experts believe this decade’s housing market frenzy was ignited by a perfect storm — the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic triggering an unprecedented rush among buyers.

Tom Hutchens, the Executive Vice President of Production at Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions joins Veronica Dudo to discuss.
