An explosion at TimkenSteel’s Faircrest plant in Canton, Ohio, has sent three employees to hospital

Three people are injured after an explosion and fire at a steel plant in Ohio.

The incident occurred at 10:30 local time on Tuesday at TimkenSteel’s Faircrest plant in Canton.

Reports say it took several fire departments to contain the matter, reportedly at the scene until two in the morning.

According to the local fire department’s Chief, the fire started in the melting area with an exploding furnace.

This caused debris and fire to blow out the windows, causing boxes to burn.

However, despite knowing this, the the root cause of the incident still remains under investigation

Three injured employees were taken to hospital and their conditions remain unknown.
