The Japanese Government is now asking its young people to drink more alcohol

Since the Pandemic began, bars and premises selling alcohol in the East Asian economy have significantly dropped, which has seen liquor tax revenues fall.

So, the government, overseen by the National Tax Agency, has launched a contest, to find new ways to encourage younger people to drink more.

Applications for the ‘Sake Viva’ campaign will close on September 9, with finalists invited to an expert consultation in October, before a final decision is made in November.

The winner will receive support for their plan to be brought to life.
