The U.S packaging backlog is now delaying this essential grocery item

You may have to hold off from ordering sunny side up eggs for breakfast …

The packaging backlog in the U.S. is so bad it’s now delaying the rollout of fresh eggs.

A surge in demand for food shipments has causes one of the biggest chicken producers in the U.S to expand its supply chain to Malaysia.

New egg cartons are now taking up to 12 to 16 weeks when they used to be ready in 4 to 6 weeks

The same backlog problem exists with corrugated boxes, which are used for items like pizza and shipping perishable food.

Its expected the situation will improve over the next 8 to 12 weeks as more U.S restaurants reopen and the hype for supermarket products dies down.
