The new emojis coming to your phone

A pink heart, an afro comb, and a moose are set to hit your keyboards with the new emoji update

Ever wished you had an emoji to hi-5 someone in your group chats? Or even just a simple pink heart emoji? Well you’re in luck!

The Emoji 15.0 draft list has been released.

Emojipedia is the popular emoji reference site that made the big reveal of 31 samples that have been submitted for approval.

The industry body responsible for this approval is a non-profit organisation called the Unicode Consortium who oversee global emoji standards and releases. They approve emoji designs before individual smartphone manufactures can choose how to render them.

This is the smallest drop of new emojis with just 31 designs on the list.

Other emojis that are set to hit your keyboard are an afro comb, a traditional Chinese fan, and a Khanda, which is a symbol for Sikh faith.

This comes after the increasing pressure for keyboards to be more inclusive with their emojis.
