The 76-year-old actor says the pair are amicably and privately addressing their personal issues.
Flavin is filing a petition for the dissolution of her marriage, and other relief.
She says she will always cherish her 30-year relationship with the ‘Rocky’ star, and is asking for privacy during this time.
The couple met a restaurant in Beverly Hills and have had three daughters together.
