Sony settles Michael Jackson legal battle

It follows claims Sony violated false advertising laws by releasing an album afterJackson died featuring songs sung by an impersonator.

Both parties have now agreed to end the lawsuit which was being heard in California’s supreme court.

This all comes just one month after Sony pulled the disputed tracks from streaming platforms globally.

In a joint statement, the legal teams say they have mutually agreed to end litigation… and removing the songs was “the simplest and best way” to move forward.
