King Charles and Queen Camilla charm Sydney locals
King Charles III and Queen Camilla were met by large crowds as they toured Sydney, Australia.
The royal couple arrived at St Thomas’ Anglican Church, where they greeted well-wishers and posed for photos.
Despite a small group of protesters, the crowd was overwhelmingly supportive, waving flags and cheering.
During his speech, the King displayed his signature humour, joking about his long history with Australia.
He lightened the mood even further by gifting an hourglass to parliament – a symbolic nod to timing speeches.
The King expressed his joy at visiting Australia for the first time as sovereign, calling it a “cherished love.”
Royal watchers delighted in the event, marking a significant moment in their brief visit Down Under.
