Singer Ricky Martin is speaking out after a restraining order against him was dropped

A Puerto Rico court has closed a restraining order issued against Ricky Martin, which was filed under domestic violence laws.

It follows Martin’s nephew dropping allegations of harassment and incest.

The nephew claims he and Martin shared a romantic relationship for several months.

But the 50-year-old musician says he was the “victim of a lie” from a relative that was “struggling with mental problems”.

“I have worked for almost four decades, on stage, in the public eye, and never have I had to deal with anything as painful as what I’ve been living with over the past two weeks.”

The singer says he was staying silent until appearing before a judge.

He denies any wrongdoing into the alleged matters.
