There are reports that White House officials are running out of confidence that Ukraine will take back its land

The U.S. and its allies are planning to send heavier and more sophisticated weaponry to Ukraine, as reports emerge of officials losing patience.

According to CNN, advisors to U.S. President Joe Biden are reportedly discussing whether Ukraine’s leader should shift the goalposts when it comes to what ‘victory’ means.

“The war will end for sure, it will end with Ukraine winning, whatever happens, no matter how difficult it is for us.”

The war is preparing to enter its fifth month. But U.S. officials are reportedly pushing Ukraine not to concede or give up its territory to Russia.

“We must oust the occupiers from our land, for as long as we can, we will do that,” President Zelensky says.

G7 leaders gather in Germany’s Bavarian Alps.

President Biden will travel to Spain on Tuesday as NATO leaders are expected to meet and discuss further punishments for Russia.

“We have to stay together. Putin has been counting on from the beginning, that somehow NATO and the G7 would splinter, but we haven’t and we’re not going to,” the U.S. President says.

It comes as G7 leaders met in Germany earlier this week, where they placed a ban on Russian gold.

At the same time, a Russian missile strike left one dead, and six wounded after a residential apartment was targetted.

President Biden refused to draw any links between the G7 Summit, and Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s capital.

Meanwhile, Russia’s President Putin maintains the war is a “special military operation”.
