There are reports Moderna refused to hand over its intellectual property to Chinese authorities

The health giant, who is responsible for one of the vaccines working against COVID-19, reportedly used commercial and safety concerns as the reason for not handing the details over.

According to The Financial Times, the company was involved in negotiations with Chinese authorities in 2020 and 21.

It’s understood the pharmaceutical company was keen to sell its MRNA vaccines to China.

But the talks stalled because of China’s demands to have access to the technology.

Of course, China uses its own domestic vaccines in the fight against COVID-19.
