There have been multiple fatalities on a Ukrainian highway after a bus carrying refugees was hit by Russian air strikes.

Ticker News understands no soldiers had been travelling on the bus at the time, but there were multiple women and children involved.

A Ukrainian Musician has since taken to twitter on the scene revealing the devastation.

Sviatoslav Vakarchuk says multiple woman and children had perished in the strike, and the incident was ‘one of the most violent’ seen in the region near Kharkiv on civilians.

The bus had been travelling from Kharkiv to Kramatorsk.

Russia’s aggression continues to bombard Ukraine

In most recent days, new footage has surfaced showing the horrifying scenes in the city of Bucha, where innocent people are being killed by Russian troops.

Speaking in Bucha, Ukrainian President Zelensky has accused Russia and its leader, Putin of committing genocide as he assed the mass destruction.

Russia is accusing Ukraine of staging the images all in an attempt to drum up global outrage.

The bodies of 410 civilians have been discovered in areas surrounding Kyiv, with some laying in mass graves, while others reportedly had their hands tied before being shot at close range.

When asked whether peace talks can and will continue following these violent events, Zelensky said “yes, because Ukraine must have peace”
