Rafael Nadal and rival Novak Djokovic are set to go head-to-head in a thrilling quarter-final match at the French Open

Spanish champion, Nadal was victorious over Felix Auger Aliassime, after a grueling five sets.

The Spaniard looked like he was going to make an early exit from Roland Garros, dropping sets for the first time at this year’s event.

In front of an animated crowd, Nadal showed the world why he remains a global champion after so many years.

As he served for the win, his name was chanted, before clinching victory after almost four and a half hours.

Nadal has never lost before the fourth round at Roland Garros and says the victory is “very important” to him.
